Building a startup with a compelling product and a strong team is one of the most challenging feats in tech.
That’s what AOL founder and venture capital investor Steve Case is searching for with Rise of the Rest, a bus tour that looks for promising tech companies that aren’t in Silicon Valley.
Launched in 2014, Case founded the tour to work closely with entrepreneurs in emerging startup ecosystems.
Case and his venture firm Revolution will begin their sixth countrywide tour on October 10 in central Pennsylvania. The Quantifi team is proud to be a finalist in the Indianapolis stop of Rise of the Rest on October 12. We’ll have the opportunity to pitch Quantifi and receive professional coaching from Google for Entrepreneurs to refine our product and messaging. Winners of the competition will receive $100,000 from Steve Case himself, a total investment of a half million dollars. But the tour is about much more than money: Case and his team will also visit the best and brightest of Indy’s tech companies, engage the city’s most promising tech leaders, and celebrate the industry’s successes.
It’s also a chance for the Indianapolis tech community to showcase its growth and unique strengths, and to demonstrate just how important it is to nurture and support tech companies that aren’t founded on the coasts. For us, that means the Quantifi team can show Rise of the Rest the power of our product, our people, and our leadership. For our community, Rise of the Rest shines a bright light on all the companies that make Indianapolis an emerging leader in Midwest tech.
One of fastest-growing cities for tech jobs, Indianapolis currently serves as an incubator for dozens of SaaS companies, provides a reasonable cost of living, and offers a deep bench of talent for both startups and enterprise software companies. As members of the Indy tech community, we’re eager to share our vision of a better social advertising experience to Rise of the Rest.
Come join us on October 12 and get a closer look at how we and other companies like us are transforming Indy tech.
