INDIANAPOLIS (July 13, 2020) – Pattern89, a platform that specializes in creative artificial intelligence (AI) to maximize digital ad performance, today announces the hiring of Allison Bantz as Chief Customer Officer and Charlene Tay as Principal Data Scientist. This news falls on the heels of Pattern89’s recent $2 million growth capital funding raise.
As Chief Customer Officer, Allison Bantz will oversee Pattern89’s marketing efforts and the customer experience from onboarding to retention. Bantz previously served as the vice president of services at Anvl, leading the strategic vision and execution of the customer experience, following 12 years with ExactTarget and Salesforce after the company’s acquisition in 2013. With a broad background in SaaS consulting, professional services, customer support and global operations, Bantz will add new expertise to the Pattern89 customer experience team.
Bantz holds a bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies and a minor in Business from Indiana University (IU), and a bachelor’s degree in Continuing Education in Business Management, Project Management and Finance from Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI).
Charlene Tay joins Pattern89 as Principal Data Scientist where she will oversee data science efforts, build and strengthen Pattern89’s AI technology and creative capabilities, and work in conjunction with the product and engineering teams to facilitate and build new features of the Pattern89 platform. Born and raised in Singapore, Tay has lived in Indiana for over 10 years. Previously, Tay worked as a data scientist for High Alpha where she developed and successfully implemented data science initiatives for High Alpha’s portfolio companies and identified ongoing opportunities to drive business solutions.
Prior to joining High Alpha, Tay served as a researcher in cognitive science at IU, where she helped with designing and building computational models of the brain and statistical learning in humans, with the goal of informing future generations of AI. Tay holds bachelor’s degrees in Human Biology and Psychology from IU and a master’s degree in Data Science from IU’s Luddy School of Informatics, Computing and Engineering.
