INDIANAPOLIS (Aug. 5, 2020) – Pattern89, a platform that specializes in creative artificial intelligence (AI) to maximize digital ad performance, today announces the hiring of Tyler Hill as Head of Design/Creative Director and the promotion of Todd Gorrell to Vice President of Sales.
Joining the team in his new head of design/creative director role, Tyler Hill is responsible for leading all UX design for the platform, delivering high-fidelity assets for new products and services, and designing the brand across the entire customer journey – from product to marketing to sales. Hill was previously at Upper Hand for four years, working up from senior designer to chief design officer to head of design, leading creative strategy for the product, brand, UI/UX and visual design. Prior to Upper Hand, Hill served as creative director for the full-service digital agency The Prosper Group, managing creative for clients and the brand from conception of project to final delivery.
Hill graduated from The Art Institutes where he received a bachelor’s degree in Visual Communications and Graphic Design.
Todd Gorrell joined Pattern89 earlier this year as Vice President of Agency Accounts, being promoted to Vice President of Sales within two months. His new responsibilities include overseeing the sales process, managing current account executives, developing and leading strategy for outbound, and more. Before joining Pattern89, Gorrell served as the director of business development for Search Discovery, a data transformation company. Gorrell is also the founder and former CEO of Ficus Consulting, where he built the company from the ground up and led sales strategy engagements from start-ups to Fortune 5000 companies.
Gorrell holds a bachelor’s degree from Indiana State University and a master’s degree from Liberty University. He is the current board vice president for Refresh Collective, a 501(c)(3) non-profit arts and youth development organization.

In Q2, Pattern89 hired five employees, strengthening its total full-time employee roster and leadership teams. The AI company is planning on hiring more employees by the end of the year in software engineering, sales and customer service.
